Asmita has been working for the physically challenged as well. It started with a survey of the physically challenged. Then held checkup camps for them.
The school encourages National days activities and gives coaching to students for various competitive examinations like National Talent Search, Olympiad, NMMS, Pravinya, Elementary & Intermediate drawing and Bal Vaidnyanik.
‘Raksha Bandhan’ festival is celebrated every year by remembering our donors and members and greetings are sent to them in the form of `Rakhi’. Similarly, each year on the festival of Makar Sankranti, Tilgul ceremony is arranged. In the year 1976 a Book Bank was started to support educational needs of students. The volunteers collected used newspaper to raise money for this book bank. Then in 1978, 1st classes were started with 51 students of Shishu Bal Vikas Mandir. Asmita had, it’s 1st School building Chatrapati Shivaji Shishu Vikas Mandir in Bandrekarwadi in 1980 and Asmita Bhavan on western express highway in 1997. Today more than thousand students are learning.
The progress and success of ASMITA could never have been purposeful and possible without the financial support, from our donors and significant, dedicated and selfless work contribution from our trustees, teachers and non – teaching staff. We Initiatives like Palak Mandal, Maji VIdhyarti Sangh have ensured family feeling between Teachers, Students and Parents. Various programs and teachers training are being organized on ‘Teachers Day’ every year. We celebrate a lot of programs in Matoshri Drawrkabai Madanlal Rajpuriya Sabhagruh at Asmita Bhavan.
